It is my pleasure to provide you some information regarding the 1st Preference Immigrant Visa Case/Outstanding Professor or Researcher.

I have enclosed the instruction sheet from form I-140, which provides guidelines for this type of case. My legal fee for this kind of case is a total of $3,600.00 flat rate. I receive $1,800.00 at the beginning of the case, and then $1,800.00 after I-140 approval. If you choose to do concurrent filing, then half of the second payment would also be due at the beginning of the case ($2,700 up front); when I-140 and I-485 are filed, the second payment of $900 is due after I-140 approval.

These fees include processing for the I-485 "Green Card" application. The only fees not covered in this arrangement are CIS filing fees ($190.00 for the I-140, and $315.00 for the I-485).

• Copies of all degrees & transcripts, if available

• Copies of passports & I-94 cards

• Copies of prizes or awards, or patents. The more colorful & detailed these documents can be, the better. If information about patents is included, it should be detailed enough for a non-expert to understand

• Copies of publications, if applicable

• Reference letters from colleagues, other professors/researchers in your field discussing your capabilities and contributions to research and/or teaching

• Employer letters documenting 3 years of teaching or research experience

• Evidence of membership in scholarly or professional groups

Qualification Chart 
Outstanding Researcher or Professor (EB1-2)

Be internationally recognized as outstanding, have a minimum of three years of experience teaching or researching in the area, be entering the U.S. in tenure or tenure track teaching or comparable research position at a university or other institute of higher education, or a company with at least 3 full time research employees.

The alien must provide documentation from at least two of the following six groups:

1. Documentation of the alien's receipt of major prizes or awards.
2. Membership in associations which require outstanding achievements.
3. Published material in professional publications/journals written by others about alien's work.
4. Evidence that the alien participates as a judge of the work of others.
5. Evidence of the alien's original scientific or scholarly research contributions to the field.
6. Authorship of scholarly books or articles in journals with international circulation in the field.
